Honeymoon:

WARNING: PICTURE HEAVY POST AHEAD.
The time has officially come. Honeymoon recap.
For those who don't know, we went to one of the Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia. We can't speak highly enough of it, other than the trip to and from the airport. The resort we stayed at was the farthest one from the air port, it was about an hour and a half drive, over winding roads, after being on airplanes and in airports for about 24 hours at that point.

The second we got off the bus we were greeted with lemongrass, moist washcloths, and all was right with the world. Then we sat down to get checked in and handed champagne, and we were officially in heaven.

They gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon, and put flowers everywhere, it was amazing!

The Views, THE VIEWS! After being shown to our room we decided to go get some food.
Sandals are all inclusive resorts, which means you don't have to carry a wallet, or anything but a room key and some sunglasses. It was so nice to just walk up to a restaurant and just order whatever we wanted, and how ever much we could eat. We loved getting to try a lot of new food, and getting to just get whatever drink we could possibly want, whenever we wanted.

Those rings were one of our favorite places to hang out. They had bottoms to lay on, that allowed water to flow in and out, and cup holders...so you can see why.
We even decided to swim out at night and lay there looking at the stars, it was incredible.

They had a special beach gathering for just married folks, and they had all the ladies look out at the ocean, while they gave out flowers for the guys to give us, it was very sweet!

We watched this sunset from a bed that was suspended from the trees!

This was at a white out party, it was super fun!

We woke up to having breakfast on the balcony, and then had to go get ready for an excursion we chose. The breakfast was perfection, the excursion was one of the best choices we ever made.
We went with a tour called JJ's Speed boat tour.
They take you around the island by speed boat, you get to see the Pitons, a HUGE bat cave, go take a mud bath on a volcano, wash the mud off in an incredible waterfall, go snorkeling, and then go grab a local lunch.

It was gorgeous. Stunning.

We had mud all over our entire bodies, but washed that part off before we got in the taxi to ride over to where the water fall is.

After we showered in the waterfall.

After this, we went snorkeling, and then over to what looks like a half finished or really old resort. Sounds sketchy, and the reviews warned us. However, the property was actually quite enchanting, and it was one of my favorite places we visited.

Check out the best picture ever:

Yeah, the one hanging on the wall.
They fed us, hands down, the best food we had while we were there, and had some indian hot sauce, and we fell in love with that stuff. seriously, we have two bottles in the house right now, along with some banana ketchup.

We walked this to get to and from the boat.

I fell in love with this wallpaper. In love with it.

On the way back was when it started to get wild. They gave us the strongest rum punch known to man, and some waves from a local storm were rolling in.
Our group was throwing punch all over each other, and our tour guide didn't spill a drop while she was pouring it, like a boss. The music blaring through the speakers had everyone wanting to dance (well, okay, it was the rum punch) Cookie, our tour guide, actually had the sea legs to dance.

We always wondered what was so awesome about this tour when other boats would pull in screaming, dancing and looking like they just had the best time in the world. It was because they DID just have the best time in the world, and the best rum punch.
Rum. Punch.

That was hands down our favorite event of the honeymoon.

The last day we were there, we had a cabana. and relaxed by a quiet little pool all day. We got to watch a storm roll through, it was beautiful, and we got the pool to ourselves for a while.
roooomaaaannnnticccc.

Our resort had like...fifty pools, but this one was our favorite.

St. Lucia was so beautiful, and the resort was amazing, but best of all, every single person we talked to was so full of happiness and we really enjoyed talking to everyone.

Ah, take me back to the sun and ocean, and the snorkeling.

Spouse Taxi:

The best day of my life. Er, second best day.

Yes, that IS me in a flight suit, thank you for asking!
Oh, you wanted to know about the silver hair in the background? That is my Dad, and yes, he does have the luckiest grey hair genetics in the universe.

Back to the flight suit though. When people with spouses graduate from B-Course they sometimes get to do a spouse taxi, the week of graduation. Since I was/am a spouse, I got a taxi.
No big deal, super casual.

Just kidding, super big deal, not casual AT ALL. (also, that is my babe of a mother, I know, we look alike).
I went through a go with my fellow B-Course spouses, so we sat through a briefing, learned about buttons to touch, not to touch, and definitely not to pull the lever that made the seat fly into the sky.

Afterwards I got all set up in my harness, and Chainsaw made sure I had ear plugs.

He is only a little invested in my long term hearing health.

You can't tell (okay, you can totally tell) but I was starting to get a little nervous. I wasn't the only one though, so it's okay. Mostly I was worried I was going to mess up my radio call.

I am going to take a moment and explain that the next three pictures are the best pictures from the whole day. It was time to buckle the bottom part of the harness.

"Okay guys, I can't get it myself"

Chainsaw heads over to assist, it doesn't go well.
Alibi is forced to be the adult of the group and give us direction. While laughing hysterically.

Alibi was the IP in control of the jet, it was awesome, we had fun.

Dressed to Kill!

We taxied out to the runway, (I really hate rudder pedals) and once there, went into afterburner. That's fast y'all. It was amazing.

Coming back from the taxi, it was super awesome, easily the best moment of my life. Well, second best.

Helmet Hair Hero Shot. (actual piece of artwork name)

Call sign:BARB. On my way to the danger zone.

Or Chainsaw and I's rehearsal dinner. Yes, our wedding rehearsal dinner was that evening, all the way across town. (our wedding was the day after his graduation.)

Bonus picture of him graduating, because YAY!
