Photos with the Mistress:

It's no secret that a fighter pilot's big love his Jet. Our house is full of F-16 paraphernalia. That isn't all my husband though, growing up I was absolutely in love with F-16's. One could argue that I loved them as much as I love the BUFF. So much that I got a tattoo of one of them too, and not just because my husband flies them, seriously. Growing up, my favorite part of air shows where when the Thunderbird's came out to play. The jet noise is basically the soundtrack to my favorite childhood memories.
Being stuck in Phoenix gave us an opportunity to be around for when the squadron pulls out a jet and let's the families take photos in front of them, on them, around them.

Rain in the Desert:

We went out on a hike in a local town called Verrado today! It was a great hike. Probably around 3-4 miles round trip, the first part is very flat and more of a walk, the last bit gets a little steep, but nothing too crazy! The squadron did this hike last year as a group, I missed it because I had work, but I am glad C remembered where it was!

He Loves sticking his head out the window!

The local Snapchat filter. (JNMainsqueeze, if you want to follow me)

The view from the top! It rained the whole way up (as you could probably guess from the title) and was a little chilly...60 degrees in Phoenix IS chilly! It was so beautiful though, and we loved seeing all the rain storms out in the distance!

Got to try out my new Oakley's (latch). I always have problems with my Ray-Ban's sliding off my face when we are out and hiking, resulting in many chipped lenses. I wanted something that was a little lighter and less likely to fall with a bang, and also ideally, stayed on my face.
These are awesome, and super comfortable, and made for guys apparently. That does not matter much to me though!

Mr. Moose Lee at the top!

When we got back to the truck we turned the heat on...Phoenix has softened us to the cold!

Since we don't think we will be together for Christmas we decided to decorate our small tree, to enjoy it as long as possible. Of course my favorite ornament is my SR-71, it's extra sneaky, since the tree is black!

Flying South for the Day:

In case you were wondering what it looks like the instant Barb figures out the ailerons actually work.

We went to the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson last week. It's something we had been meaning to do the entire time we lived here, but never got around to doing until our orders got delayed. Funny how that works, huh?
We wanted to go to the boneyard, but didn't realize that wasn't open on weekends, oops! I doubt this will be the last time we live in Phoenix, though.

I have a list of favorite air craft (who doesn't...right?)  It's a list of five. The SR-71 is on that list.
C and I have an ongoing thing called "touching the butt" inspired by finding nemo. The planes are the butts. I like to touch them. I have so many butt touching pictures y'all. But that's a post for another day.
The F-4 phantom (also affectionately called the Rhino, or double ugly) is another one of my top five favorite air craft.
B-52, BUFF, and... You guessed it... In the top five. It's so high on the list that I even have it as a tattoo.
And the KC-97, another top five.
Three of the four in this post were flown by my grandfather, who I was named after.

I'll let you guess which four.
The fifth plane on my list is obviously the Viper (in no certain order), and not just because my husband flies it, either.

We had a lot of fun at the museum, and really enjoyed wandering around. We even got to see some A-10s fly over, and who doesn't enjoy that?

After the museum we went to grab some hamburgers at a local burger place, but the wait was too long for one girl who gets very hangry very quickly.

A few doors down was a small deli and it smelled incredible, so we went over to check out the menu. They had some delicious looking hot dogs, so we decided to eat there.
Here is the address if you ever find yourself in the area:

4th Avenue Delicatessen
425 N 4th Ave
Pie Allen
Tucson, AZ 85705

You can tell them I sent ya, but they won't have a clue who I am.
Some of the best hot dogs I've ever eaten, and the chili is phenomenal.

Grand Canyon:

Since we have been stationed at Luke, we have taken a few trips to the Grand Canyon, and it is never disappointing.
You can see, I get a little braver in between the trips, but Cody continues to give me a heart attack every time.

Wedding: Camera Talk.

So in the same vein of posts I would like to share a few posts on our wedding.
Photography is very near and dear to my heart and I wanted to make sure we got everything we wanted while still allowing family to enjoy the wedding.
Camera Talk took some of our pictures, but enjoyed the ceremony when the time came, because of our relationship to them.
Here are our favorites from what they took!

Our getaway car was a Rolls Royce! Dream come true!
